Guess who has two thumbs and the greatest hubby and daughter EVER?

This girl!!!

I woke up and walked into the living room to find this…

Pressies from my new fave store Spitfire Girl??!! Wax lips for our trip to San Diego??!! A book about FREAKS??!! Mind officially blown! I’m saving opening the mystery box for Sunday. Let’s hope I make it that long.

Here’s a happy happy Mum teary eyed and hair wet from the shower.
J’adore Antz & Liv. I’m lucky to have you!

Happy Happy 500th Post!!!

Since I couldn’t find anything else that wasn’t related to the Indy 500 here is my random photo in celebration of my 500th post.

This soundtrack is pretty rad by the way!!
So I have babbled my annoying mouth 500 times and it seems like yesterday I was celebrating my 400th post *Golly, I sure talk alot*
Here are a few of my Favourite Things
Because I have them and they are AMAZING!!

This guy always cracks me up. If I was reincarnated as a cat, I wanna be this guy.

Normally I can’t stand black tips *as the curazzy bitches on Bridezilla calls them* but these are fiercely chic. I need to find a matte polish in black for my next manicure.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE….How in the hell am I gonna find this treasure??!!
My last favorite thing is a place…SEW LA. I want to go to there and take all the sewing lessons. The fabric looks stellar but will make my wallet cry.
If we have time tomorrow, maybe Aimee and I can stop by and take a peek.
Nighters!

Olivia the Socialite

Liv has too many social obligations! I pray I’m not raising the next Parasite or Lindsay *Gross* So yesterday was busy, we went to World Citizen Class and Liv’s outfit was all the rage!!

Liv was rockin her Fame look!

She was really feeling the vibe in class

She is an ounce away for not being able to fit this outfit *sads, it’s my absolute favorite from Godmommy Aimee*

I suppose she was channeling her Grammy Bobbye because she was playing drums like a pro

After class we went to Babies R Us and I scored this lovely dolly for Liv’s birthday present.
She has freckles and everything!! Super cute
We had lunch and went home for a midday nap then headed right back to HeartBeat House for the Atwater Mommy Playdate. Antz met us there and there was double the amount of parents this time and it was 3 of the kids birthday.

She had so much fun and we met more kids her age. Every time we go to this playdate it makes me want to live in AV more. Lame!!
Anyway, she was super hyper last night and we didn’t get her to sleep until 10pm. Today I had to take some paperwork to Dr. Wang to fill out for her nursery school application. I was speaking to some Moms yesterday and they said they are already on the waitlist so I’m putting her on it on Friday. The application is 20 pages long!! Now I’m a little stressed because when I went to the school the director told me she’d be fine for next year but with so many kids her age, I would die if she didn’t get in. 🙁
So after we dropped off the application with Dr. Wang we went to check out swimming lessons for Liv. Turns out the next session starts in 2 weeks so I have to register her this Saturday. We are going to do it on Saturday mornings so Antz can join us. I am super stoked about it because it’s been hot as hell lately. We went to Whole Foods and I bought these lovely peonies for Liv’s nursery. I really adore peonies…I can’t wait to grow them because they are very pricey.
Well, I have a list 2 pages long of things to do for Liv’s birthday…I just ordered some of her presents and I bought her swimsuit from BebeGap *who was having an awesome Mother’s Day sale* so I picked up a few more pieces
The shorts were 2 for $20 and the floral one piece was on super sale for $6.97!! Now I need to get her some flip flops and she’s all set.
4 weeks to go, B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!
She wasn’t into last week’s pic…haha, I think her pouty face is awesome!!
Bonne Nuit!

Happy May Day!!

So after throwing my hands up trying to upload photos to make our Shutterfly photobook we ran a bunch of errands. Stop one was CVS to print out some pictures for Liz’s bebe book. They don’t sell Sunday papers so we went to a local grocery store and I scored my coupons!! Nearly everything on my Target list now has a coupon so I am super happy. Next we grabbed pizza from our favorite place in Silverlake. We stopped by an Open House at a new store called Atwater Village Farm. They were giving out yummy samples and I signed up for events. We had to hurry over downtown since everything closes early on Sunday and at first I was worried all the fabric district was closed but we found a ton places that were still open. At first I was discouraged because I wanted to buy less than a yard since I won’t need that much material for the wings but every place said I had to buy a minimum of 1 yard and most of the fabric was $4.99 per yard. I wanted at least 12 different colors like the photos

She has 13 layers on hers and I wanted to stay as close to her color palette as possible. So after a few lame stores, a guy helping us whispered for us to go around the corner and we’ll find a much more affordable spot. Ummm, yesh please!

Now I’ve always had my doubts when shopping on the Eastside of downtown. There is a clear line between camp and tacky and I was worried I would find shitty prints and gross fabric but I found the most adorable fabrics at the giant store. They were closing when we got there so they had to push us out the door but everything was looking FABulous. I could see going there to buy fabric to reupholster chairs and couches for our next house. I also LOVE the colors I bought *a steal at $1.99 per yard* I bought 12 different colors and I’m keeping it a secret until I finish the project *in case it turns out lame*
So we came home and vegged out but by nightfall Antz felt like taking an evening stroll so we tried a new route in Los Feliz Village and came upon this treasure

Spitfire Girl

It was total happenstance that we were walking by this shop and we saw it was the only place open. We popped in when my jaw hit the floor. It was basically a miniature Anthropologie meshed with Oscura from Oddities. Translation: REALLY FUCKING COOL! I literally wanted to buy everything I saw. They had the Owl umbrella stand I’ve had on my wishlist forever, really lovely Victorian pieces and artwork. I want it ALL!! These were the only pictures I was able to snap because I was so busy drooling over everything. Wouldn’t fate have it that I left my wallet in the car…Aimee & I will have to go next week!!

Aimee has been wanting a terrarium for her new place…

The shop owner *I’m guessing, not quite sure* is in this pic, is mega rad, they had taxidermy pieces that were both creepy in a Hitchcock way and also interesting in a nerdy way. Okay, I got to go…David Gerken *my CNN crush*  is on.
I leave you with Obamapimp!!

Weekend Roundup

Seriously, I have about 10 minutes to post the weekend shenanigans because we are going to the fabric store so I can start making Livs wings and then to CVS to print some photos. We are working on Liv’s first year book, her bebe book, and her first year video *which is stumping us because we know zero about video editing* Friday night Antz came home early *YAY* and after dinner we went for a walk at the Santa Monica pier. Normally, I am not a fan of such a touristy spot but it was nice to be by the beach and I can’t say no to carnival food *I bought the yummiest fresh made cotton candy ever*. Antz wanted to play a carnival game for $3 and I warned him, alright you BETTER win!! When he threw his first ball he accidentally knocked down the guardrail which ended up knocking down 3 of the clowns!! With one ball he won the largest prize which happened to be…

Way to go Antzy!!

This pic is blurry because I was jumping up and down when he won!!

Liv loves her Muno doll!

Saturday we met Liv’s BFF, Charlotte and her folks at our favorite park in Pasadena.

Liv was super close to walking but not yet.
We had a blast hanging with Cobb & Jen. Can’t wait for the girls to get together again!
After that we went to Stephen & Leslie’s so Liv could hang with her Godparents
Then we picked up my Mom *she was in town at her apartments* and we went to Joe’s Crab Shack for a Pre-Mothers Day crab feast.

This is my favorite photo of Liv & her Grammy

I meant crab business!!
CHEESECAKE!!

Two words: FUCKIN’ YUM!
So that brings us up to today. We spent most of the morning working on Liv’s Bebe book, I have completely watsted 2 hours trying to put together Liv’s 1st Year on Shutterfly. I suppose you need a PhD to figure out how to put a book together but I have been trying to upload over 100 photos so maybe my dumb laptop is lagging. BOLLOCKS!! Anyway, we’re off to buy fabric and have lunch at our fave pizza spot Hard Times.
Later Skaters!!
